Despite the current problems in Nepal's social, political and economic life today, we are optimistic about the future of this nation. Proper education that is our commitment for the new generations is the basis of this optimism. In fact, we believe that there is no other way to arrest the current course of national decay.
Takshashila is running in collaboration with intellectuals, lecturers, bankers and businessmen constituting a rare combination. We plan to offer at least 75 scholarships to bright students - one each form the 75 districts of Nepal, and enhance the multiplier effects of good education. We will be guided by our commitment of quality education and development of the inherent abilities of students to face the complexities of life. We will focus our efforts on natural sciences, mathematics and language skills without losing the value of humanities and social sciences as well.
